Superior Livestock Report - **Final Report**
Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 05/20/2016  

 Offerings: 28,000    Last Sale May 06th: 34,700   Last Year: 20,200**

   Compared to the last sale May 06th:  Feeder steers 1.00-3.00 higher.  
Feeder heifers 1.00 higher where fully tested.  Demand moderate to good.
Cattle futures on a roller coaster since the last sale.  Slaughter cattle 
prices improved thru that period as did the beef trade.  Speculators 
continue to watch other factors effecting the markets, such as value of
the dollar and the volatility of the stock market.  Supply included 48 
percent steers and heifers over 600 lbs, 57 percent of supply steers and
43 percent heifers.  Receipts included 47 percent from South Central, 8
percent North Central, 43 percent East, 8 percent West.  Prices FOB based
on net weights after a 2-3 percent pencil shrink or equivalent, with a 4-
8 cent slide on yearlings and 8-12 cent slide on calves.  Deliveries
current through October 2016.

1st Calf Heifer Pairs: Medium and Large 1: Current delivery: South
Central 1000 lb cows with 125 lb calves 2500.00, Current thru June 
delivery 1000 lb pairs 1900.00; North Central 1275 lb cows with 150 lb
calves 2450.00.

Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2: June delivery: South Central 3-6 year
old 1400 lb cows with 125 lb calves 2225.00.
