Superior Livestock Report - Big Sky Round Up
Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 07/22/2016
***Final Report***

   Offerings: 45,500                   Last Sale July 11-15th: 261,500   

   Compared to the last sale July 11-15th:  Once again bulk of the trade for
fall delivery.  Market undertone lower than last sale as cattle futures once
again wreaking havoc with markets.  Volatility in the markets has both 
buyers and sellers alike confused on where to make the deal.  Some 
indicators are pointing more in a positive direction as slaughter weights
are coming down and the most recent bullish Cattle on Feed report.
   Supply included 40 percent steers and heifers over 600 lbs, 71 percent of 
supply steers and 29 percent heifers.  Receipts included 9 percent from
South Central, 85 percent from the North Central; 2 percent East, and 4
percent West.  Prices FOB based on net weights after a 2-3 percent pencil
shrink or equivalent, with a 4-8 cent slide on yearlings and 8-12 cent slide
on calves.  Deliveries current through December 2016.
