Superior Livestock Video Auction - Labor Day Auction
Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 09/06-07/2018
***Final Report including replacement cows will be sent on Monday 09/10/18.***
Offerings: 54,100 Last Sale 08/20-24/2018: 188,300
Compared to the last sale 08/20-24/18: Supply included 60 percent over 600 lbs;
62 percent of supply steers; near 2 percent Holstein steers; 36 percent heifers.
Receipts included 27 percent from South Central; 42 percent North Central; 10 percent
East; 21 percent West. Prices FOB based on net weights after a 2-3 percent pencil
shrink or equivalent, with a 4-8 cent slide on yearlings and 8-12 cent slide on
calves. Current deliveries are cattle that will deliver up to 14 days from the last
sale day of the video(September 21st). Deliveries current to April 2019.
