Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 1/30/2013
Receipts: 618 Last Week: 403 Year Ago: 1382
Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers and heifers steady. Slaughter cows
steady. Supply light. Near 5 percent of the offering was cows and 28 percent of
the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 60 percent steers and
bulls and 40 percent heifers. Tuesday?s heavy rains followed by some wintry
weather limited numbers and buyer enthusiasm although the cattle market in
general is on a little stronger footing than this time last week.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 450-500 lbs 178.00-185.00; 500-600 lbs
157.00-177.00; 600-700 lbs 141.00-157.00; small package calves 745 lbs 127.50.
Medium and Large 1-2 small package 365 lbs 194.00; 400-500 lbs 172.0-188.00;
500-600 lbs 151.00-165.00, small package full 580 lbs 145.75; 600-700 lbs
