Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 7/17/2013

Receipts:  371    Last Week:  1440    Year Ago:  1361

   Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers and heifers steady to 4.00 lower
based on a limited market test. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 lower. Supply
light. Near 19 percent of the offering was cows and 42 percent of the feeders
were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 51 percent steers and bulls and
49 percent heifers. Not a good day to move cattle with hot, humid conditions. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  small package 340 lbs 175.00; 
400-500 lbs 149.00-159.00; 500-600 lbs 140.00-156.00; 600-700 lbs 137.50-
145.00; package 815 lbs 130.00. 

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  400-500 lbs 135.00-150.00; 500-
600 lbs 127.50-151.00; 600-700 lbs few calves/fleshy 118.00-126.50; small 
package calves 725 lbs 118.00. Medium and Large 2  650-700 lbs 116.00-124.00.
Medium 1-2  small package 540 lbs 124.00. 

   Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2  450-500 lbs 139.00-144.00; 550-600 lbs
129.00-133.50; 600-710 lbs 115.00-131.00.
