Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 7/24/2013

   Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers and heifers under 700 lbs 2.00-
4.00 higher with few comparisons available from last week on weights over
700 lbs. Slaughter cows steady. Supply light. Near 14 percent of the offering
was cows and 47 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply
approximately 51 percent steers and bulls and 49 percent heifers.  Most of the
600-700 lb cattle in this week?s sale were medium flesh calves with some tail
but still running with their mama?s.

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  450-500 lbs 166.00-177.00; 500-600 lbs
155.00-171.00; 600-700 lbs 140.00-153.75; 750-800 lbs calves 130.00-138.25.
Medium and large 1-2  350-400 lbs 172.00-176.00; 400-500 lbs 158.00-164.00; 600-
700 lbs 144.50-145.00. Medium and Large 2  small package 755 lbs 131.50. 

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1  450-500 lbs 142.00-150.00; 500-600 lbs
139.50-147.00; 600-650 lbs 135.00-142.25; 18 head calves 695 lbs 126.50; 700-
750 lbs few 128.00-129.50; package 835 lbs 118.00, package fleshy 840 lbs 
116.25. Medium and Large 1-2  500-600 lbs 142.00-145.50, few full 136.00-137.50.
Medium and large 2  400-500 lbs 136.00-139.00. 

   Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2  550-600 lbs few 134.00-141.00; small 
package 720 lbs 124.00.

175-300 lb calves 1385.00-1685.00 per pair.
