Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 05/14/2014

Receipts:  515    Last Week:  1409    Year Ago: 1001
 
   Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers and heifers steady. Slaughter
cows steady. Supply moderate. Near 25 percent of the offering was cows and
22 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 54
percent steers and 46 percent heifers. Pretty tough to put loads together this
week with no large, high quality consignments to build around. Bigger numbers
and some reputation cattle expected for next week?s special.  

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 241.00-264.00; 400-500 lbs
222.00-239.00; 500-600 lbs 215.00-227.50; small package 615 labs 215.50, package
calves 615 lbs 204.00; package fleshy calves 730 lbs 182.00. Medium and Large 
1-2  300-400 lbs 239.00-254.00; 400-500 lbs 220.00-235.00; 550-600 lbs 206.00-
216.50; 600-700 lbs 192.00-213.50. 

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 232.00-248.00; 400-500 lbs
211.00-230.00; 500-600 lbs 190.00-210.50; 600-700 lbs 172.00-179.00; 700-
750 lbs 165.00-172.50. Medium and Large 1-2  350-400 lbs 215.00-229.00; 450-
500 lbs 206.00-213.00; 500-550 lbs 192.00-199.00. Medium and large 2  small 
package 405 lbs 199.00.

1250 lbs, with 150-200 lb calves 2325.00 per pair.
