Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 1/28/2015

Receipts:  305    Week Ago:  1315    Year Ago:  359

   Receipts not sufficient to establish a market trend on the feeders. 
Slaughter cows 2.00-4.00 higher. Demand moderate. Near 13 percent of the
offering was cows and 18 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder 
supply approximately 56 percent steers and bulls and 44 percent heifers. 
Light receipts this week with some producers holding out in hopes of a 
recovery in the down trending feeder market. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  350-400 lbs 297.00-310.00; 
450-500 lbs 260.00-279.00; 550-600 lbs 230.00-248.00; 600-650 lbs 218.00-
230.00. Medium 2  400-450 lbs 232.00-252.00; small package 590 lbs 190.00. 

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  350-400 lbs 256.00-269.00; 400-
500 lbs 227.00-269.00; 500-600 lbs few fleshy 195.00-217.00; 600-700 lbs 
186.00-195.50 Medium and Large 2  small package 510 lbs 208.25. Medium 1-2  
package 525 lbs 195.00. 

   Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2  400-500 lbs 235.00-292.00; 500-600 lbs
214.00-251.00; 600-700 lbs 176.00-204.00.
