Feeder Cattle Auction Report for  4/22/2015

   Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers under 450 lbs steady, 450-600 lbs
4.00-6.00 lower and over 600 lbs steady to 3.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 
450 lbs 5.00-10.00 higher, over 450 lbs 2.00-5.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady.
Supply light. Near 44 percent of the offering was cows and 22 percent of the 
feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 61 percent steers and 
bulls and 39 percent heifers. Special cow sale followed the feeders highlighted
by a dispersal of 190 good quality reputation cow calf pairs displaying 
considerable selection pressure for fertility and production. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  350-400 lbs 310.00-342.50; 400-500 lbs
260.00-307.50; 500-600 lbs 249.00-281.00, fleshy 225.00-229.00; 600-650 lbs
242.00-258.00, package fleshy 670 lbs 217.50; package 700 lbs 214.50, package
fleshy 705 lbs 196.00. Medium and Large 1-2 300-400 lbs 288.00-320.00; 400-
500 lbs 261.00-292.50. 

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1  small package 280 lbs 325.00; 350-400 lbs
277.00-310.00; 400-500 lbs 246.00-285.00; 500-550 lbs 236.00-246.00; 600-650 lbs

   Medium and Large 1, 6 years to short and solid, 1025-1200 lbs, with 125-
225 lb calves 2300.00-2850.00 per pair.
