Feeder Cattle Auction Report for  5/13/2015

Receipts:  1725    Week Ago:  610    Year Ago: 515

   Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers under 450 lbs 3.00-5.00 higher, 
over 450 lbs 6.00-12.00 higher. Feeder heifers 3.00-10.00 higher. Slaughter cows
4.00-6.00 higher. Supply moderate. Near 5 percent of the offering was cows and
32 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 58
percent steers and bulls and 42 percent heifers. First feeder special of the
season with several outstanding fall born calves in town, many of which sold 
right off their mamas with at least one round of shots. The unweaned status did
not slow down buyers on those larger consignments as they were more focused on
getting possession of the reputation, high performance calves. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  350-400 lbs 316.00-337.50; 400-500 lbs
295.00-325.00; 500-600 lbs 268.00-312.50, 16 head fancy 510 lbs 316.00; 600-
700 lbs 238.00-268.50, few fleshy 234.00-240.00; 700-800 lbs 218.00-250.00; 
800-900 lbs 194.00-213.00. Medium and Large 1-2  300-400 lbs 297.50-335.00; 400-
500 lbs 263.00-299.00; 500-600 lbs 250.00-287.50; 600-650 lbs 238.00-245.00;
