Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 8/26/2015

Receipts:  338    Week Ago:  358    Year Ago: 585

   Compared to last Wednesday, steers and heifers under 600 lbs 3.00-12.00
lower on a very limited market test. A few offerings over 600 lbs sold with a
sharply lower undertone with no good price comparisons available from last 
week. Slaughter cows 3.00-6.00 lower. Supply light. Near 25 percent of the 
offering were cows and 29 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder
supply approximately 57 percent steers and bulls and 43 percent heifers. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  350-400 lbs 282.00-300.00; 450-
500 lbs 265.00-270.00; 500-600 lbs 235.00-264.50, small package fleshy 595 lbs
214.00; 600-700 lbs 204.00-220.00; package 745 lbs 203.50. Medium and Large 2
small package 395 lbs 251.00; 420-550 lbs 220.00-242.00. 

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  300-400 lbs 258.00-265.00; 400-
500 lbs 225.00-262.00; 500-600 lbs 200.00-228.00; package 625 lbs 205.50.  

   Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2  450-500 lbs 242.00-274.00; 500-600 lbs
208.00-234.00; 600-650 lbs 193.50-203.00; 700-800 lbs 176.00-190.00.

1175-1300 lbs, with baby to 175 lb calves 1775.00-2100.00 per pair.
