Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 9/9/2015
Receipts: 272 Week Ago: 1430 Year Ago: 1300
Feeder supply not sufficient to establish a market trend. Slaughter cows
steady. Near 21 percent of the offering were cows and 21 percent of the feeders
were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 49 percent steers and bulls and
51 percent heifers. Good demand for a light holiday run with several cattle of
undesirable quality and/or weigh up.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2 300-400 lbs 279.00-300.00; 450-
500 lbs 243.00-253.00; 550-600 lbs 220.00-238.00; small package 655 lbs 212.50;
730-825 lbs 187.00-194.50. Medium and Large 2 small package 575 lbs 224.00.
Medium 1-2 small package 560 lbs 227.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2 350-400 lbs 230.00-258.00; 400-
500 lbs 226.00-248.00; 500-600 lbs 202.00-226.00; small package 625 lbs 208.00;
small package 785 lbs 185.25. Medium and Large 2 500-520 lbs 199.00-207.00;
small package 675 lbs 185.50, small package fleshy 645 lbs 170.00.
