Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 3/30/2016

Receipts:  923    Last Week:  1280    Year Ago:  858

   Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers and heifers mostly steady. 
Slaughter cows 3.00-5.00 higher. Supply moderate. Near 6 percent of the
offering were cows and 20 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. 
Feeder supply approximately 50 percent steers and bulls and 50 percent
heifers. The board was sharply lower on Wednesday but that didn?t seem
to have much impact on the auction. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 210.00-228.00, package
full 390 lbs 206.00; 400-500 lbs 200.00-222.00; 500-600 lbs 186.00-200.00; 
600-700 lbs 165.00-188.00; package 770 lbs 149.25. Medium and Large 1-2
package thin 290 lbs 234.00; 350-400 lbs 201.00-212.00; 400-450 lbs 194.00-
205.00; 500-600 lbs 172.00-192.00; small package 715 lbs 157.00. Medium and
Large 2  small package 475 lbs 170.00. 

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1  package full 290 lbs 192.00; 300-
400 lbs 180.00-195.00; 400-500 lbs 170.00-185.00; 500-600 lbs 156.50-
172.00; 600-700 lbs 144.50-155.25; package 860 lbs 132.25. Medium and Large
1-2  300-400 lbs 174.00-180.00, 17 head thin 340 lbs 195.00; package 415 lbs
178.00; 500-600 lbs 143.00-160.00; 600-650 lbs 142.50-147.00. Medium and
Large 2  package 465 lbs 152.00. Medium 1-2  small package 595 lbs 142.00.

   Feeder bulls: Medium and Large 1-2  450-500 lbs 187.00-196.00; 550-
600 lbs 160.00-173.00.
