Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 5/11/2016
Receipts: 484 Week Ago: 394 Year Ago: 1725
Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers and heifers under 600 lbs
5.00-10.00 higher, over 600 lbs were not well tested. Slaughter cows
steady. Supply light. Near 22 percent of the offering were cows and 10
percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately
58 percent steers and bulls and 42 percent heifers. The feeder market has
perked up this week due to advances on the board and last week?s higher
feedlot trade.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 package 295 lbs 220.00; 350-400 lbs
190.00-200.00; 400-500 lbs 176.00-196.00; 500-600 lbs 163.00-188.50; 600-
650 lbs few 152.50-162.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 package 290 lbs 186.00; 13 head
370 lbs 174.00; 400-500 lbs 155.00-166.50; 500-600 lbs 142.00-158.00; 600-
650 lbs 137.00-140.50. Medium and Large 1-2 small package 390 lbs 159.00;
500-600 lbs 141.00-152.00.
Feeder bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-450 lbs 179.00-189.00; 500-
550 lbs 156.00-170.00; package thin 585 lbs 153.00; 600-700 lbs 132.00-
146.50; 10 head thin 780 lbs 131.00.
