Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 11/1/2017
Receipts: 427 Week Ago: 1103 Year Ago: 713
Feeder supply was not sufficient to establish a market trend. Slaughter
cows 2.00-4.00 lower. Near 26 percent of the offering were cows and 19 percent
of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 63 percent steers
and bulls and 37 percent heifers. The cattle market is rolling along at the
moment with cutout values rising and slaughter cattle likely to trade at
120.00+/cwt this week. Nice feeder offering expected next week.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2 small package 390 lbs 195.00;
400-500 lbs 175.00-196.00, small package fleshy 495 lbs 168.00; 500-600 lbs
157.00-180.00; 600-650 lbs 152.00-166.00; package calves 660 lbs 152.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2 400-500 lbs 146.00-157.00; 550-
600 lbs 141.00-145.50, few full/fleshy 138.00-143.00; small package 620 lbs
145.00, calves 600-650 lbs 128.00-142.50; small package 730 lbs 136.50. Medium
and Large 2 450-575 lbs 131.00-141.00. Medium 1-2 450-500 lbs 138.50-144.00.
Feeder bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 package 420 lbs 190.00. Medium 1-2
425-435 lbs 149.00-154.00; small package 520 lbs 131.00.
