Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 7/25/2018

Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers and heifers steady. Slaughter cows
steady. Demand good. Supply moderate. Near 6 percent of the offering were cows
and 57 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 61
percent steers and bulls and 39 percent heifers. Much of the feeder offering
were fall born short yearlings, many of which were not weaned but sold with
little discount due to their age, condition and the relatively mild weather.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 few 360 lbs 204.00-211.00; 400-500 lbs
172.00-192.50; 500-600 lbs 167.50-182.00; 600-700 lbs 159.00-170.00; 700-800 lbs
146.75-156.75; 800-900 lbs 140.00-141.75. Medium and Large 1-2 few 300 lbs
200.00-203.00; 500-600 lbs 159.00-178.00; small package 795 lbs 139.00. Medium
