Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 8/29/2018
Receipts: 357 Week Ago: 808 Year Ago: 1061
Compared to last Wednesday, few steers under 550 lbs near steady, over
550 lbs not tested. Heifers under 550 lbs 2.00-4.00 higher, over 550 lbs not
tested. Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 lower. Supply light. Near 18 percent of the
offering were cows and 2 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder
supply approximately 48 percent steers and bulls and 52 percent heifers. Light
receipts after the hot weather Tuesday followed by heavy rain Wednesday morning
with reports of 2.00-3.00 inches locally.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 350-400 lbs 205.00-206.00; 400-500 lbs
181.00-191.25; 500-550 lbs 172.00-181.75. Medium and Large 1-2 small package
320 lbs 201.00; 400-500 lbs 172.00-179.00; 500-600 lbs 160.00-171.00. Medium and
Large 2 small package 465 lbs 150.00. Medium 2 small package 505 lbs 149.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 300-400 160.00-163.50; 450-500 lbs
152.50-159.00. Medium and Large 1-2 350-400 lbs 155.00-158.00; 400-500 lbs
