Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 10/17/2018

Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers under 650 lbs 3.00-6.00 lower,
over 650 lbs not tested. Feeder heifers under 650 lbs steady to 5.00 lower,
over 650 lbs not tested. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 lower. Demand light
to moderate. Supply light. Near 21 percent of the offering were cows and
12 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 56
percent steers and bulls and 44 percent heifers. Mostly small consignments
this week with lots of odds and ends and less quality in the light cattle than
last week.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 171.00-176.00; 500-600 lbs
161.00-173.00; 600-650 lbs 152.00-156.50. Medium and Large 1-2 300-400 lbs
165.00-180.00; 400-500 lbs 164.50-175.00; 500-600 lbs 152.00-162.50. Medium and
Large 2 small package 550 lbs 147.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 148.50-156.75; small package
fleshy 545 lbs 131.00; 550-600 lbs 140.00-142.50; 600-650 lbs 140.00. Medium and
Large 1-2 300-350 lbs 152.00-154.00; 400-500 lbs 140.00-149.50; small package
745 lbs 130.00. Medium and Large 2 330-550 lbs 125.00-130.50.
Feeder bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 155.00-170.00; 500-600 lbs
