   Compared to last Thursday's sale, Slaughter steers sold mostly steady with 
very good demand. Cows sold mostly 1.00 higher, with exception of firm 
advancement in lean cows in response to a shortage of lean grinding beef in 
the domestic market. Cow demand remains very good promoted by light supplies 
across the nation. Cattle supplies included 329 slaughter steers; 67 heifers; 
250 cows; 31 bulls; and 7 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

   Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1305-1645 lbs 149.00-153.50. 
Choice 2-3  1235-1615 lbs 149.00-151.00.  Select 2-3  1200-1550 lbs 142.00-
146.50.

   Slaughter Holsteins: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1345-1710 lbs 129.50-
132.00. Choice 2-3  1270-1700 lbs 125.00-130.00. Select 2-3  1130-1560 lbs

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week Holstein Bull calves 
sold mostly 10.00 higher, while heifer calves sold unevenly steady. Demand 
was very good. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 239 
head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
