   Compared to last Thursday's sale, Slaughter steers sold mostly steady.
Slaughter Holsteins sold mostly 1.00-2.00 higher compared to a light test
last week. Demand was good. Not enough Slaughter heifers last week for a
comparison but a higher undertone noted. Slaughter cow sold 1.00-2.00
higher with very good demand. Cattle supplies included 422 slaughter
steers; 72 heifers; 394 cows; 56 bulls; and 27 feeder calves. All prices
per cwt.

   Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1300-1650 lbs 148.00-
152.00, few 152.50-153.00. Choice 2-3  1250-1700 lbs 144.00-147.75.
Select 2-3 1150-1675 lbs 139.00-143.50.

   Slaughter Holsteins: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1450-1725 lbs 138.00-
142.00. Choice 2-3  1300-1700 lbs 130.00-135.50. Select 2-3  1325-1750
lbs 124.00-129.50

   Slaughter Heifers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1200-1400 lbs 145.00-

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week Holstein bull
calves sold mostly steady on good demand. Heifers sold weak with moderate
demand. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 444 head
for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt. 

   Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1  120-128 lbs 220.00; 110-118 lbs 
247.00-252.00; 90-108 lbs 272.00-292.00. Number 2  112-128 lbs 221.00-
235.00; 106-110 lbs 250.00-256.00; 80-104 lbs 270.00-290.00. Number 3  
100-130 lbs 230.00-249.00; 72-98 lbs 257.00-269.00. Utility 60-110 lbs
45.00-60.00.

   Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1  80-100 lbs 240.00-300.00.  Number 2
75-120 lbs 100.00-160.00. Non-Tubing/Utility 65-90 lbs 35.00-80.00.
