   Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly 3.00-4.00 lower
with good demand. Slaughter Holstein steers sold mostly 1.00-2.00 lower
with moderate demand. Not enough Slaughter heifers for a market test.
Slaughter cows sold mostly steady to 1.00 higher. Demand was good due
in part to the lighter run and the upcoming 4th of July holiday. Cattle
supplies included 401 steers; 47 heifers; 333 cows; 29 bulls; and
18 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

   Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1350-1650 lbs 154.00-
158.50; Choice 2-3  1300-1700 lbs 149.00-153.75; Select 1-3  1350-1750
lbs 146.00-148.00.

   Slaughter Holsteins: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1400-1650 lbs 144.00-
148.00; Choice 2-3  1350-1700 lbs 140.00-143.00. Select 1-2 1300-1750 lbs
133.00-138.50.

   Slaughter Heifers:  Few Choice 2-3 1200-1500 lbs 143.00-148.00.

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull
calves sold mostly steady to 30 lower. Demand was moderate. Holstein heifer 
calves sold mostly 30.00-50.00 higher. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-
QSA-LMAR program graded 381 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by
the cwt.

497.00-520.00; 94-108 lbs 540.00-570.00; 90-92 lbs 620.00. Number 2  112-128
