Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly 1.00-2.00 higher.
There were a large number of steers weighing over 1600 lbs on offer today.
High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic market
and most are extremely lean. Today these steers sold mostly steady.
Slaughter Holstein steers not tested last week so no comparison this week.
Not enough Slaughter Heifers for a market test. Demand was moderate for
all classes. Slaughter cows sold mostly 1.00-2.00 lower. Demand was
moderate. Slaughter bulls sold mostly steady on a light test. Demand was
moderate. Cattle supplies included 296 steers; 51 heifers; 406 cows;
16 bulls; and 42 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

135.50; 1600-1700 lbs 127.00-130.00; 1700-1800 lbs 116.50-120.00. Choice

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mostly 40.00-50.00 lower. Demand was moderate. Holstein
heifer calves sold 40.00-60.00 higher. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-
QSA-LMAR program graded 430 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold
by the cwt.

104 lbs 405.00-415.00. Number 2 98-128 lbs 365.00-380.00; 94-96 lbs
