Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold mostly steady. High
dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic market and
most are extremely lean. Today these steers sold mostly steady. Slaughter
Holstein steers traded mostly steady on better quality supplies. Slaughter
heifers not tested last week so no comparision this week. Slaughter cows
sold 3.00-4.00 higher. Demand was very good. Not enough slaughter bulls
for a market test. Demand was moderate. Cattle supplies included
193 steers; 48 heifers; 395 cows; 20 bulls; and 18 feeder calves. All
prices per cwt.

132.00. Choice 2-3 1200-1600 lbs 124.00-127.50. Select 1-2 1300-1700
lbs few 117.00-120.00. High Dressing Lean Steers 125.00-134.00,

LMAR program graded 489 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by
the cwt.
