Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold mostly 1.00-2.00 higher.
High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic market
and most are extremely lean. Today these steers sold 2.00-4.00 higher on
better quality supplies. Slaughter Holstein steers traded mostly steady
to 1.00 higher. Slaughter heifers sold steady to 1.00 higher. Demand was
moderate. Slaughter cows sold steady to 1.00 higher. Demand was good.
Slaughter bulls traded mostly steady to firm on a light test. Demand was
moderate. Cattle supplies included 151 steers; 77 heifers; 392 cows;
15 bulls; and 7 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

135.50. Choice 2-3 1300-1600 lbs 129.00-132.50. Select 1-2 1300-1600

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull
calves sold mostly steady to 10.00 higher. Holstein heifer calves sold
40.00-60.00 lower. Demand was moderate. Ag Market News LLC under the
USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 408 head for Thursday's sale. All calves
are sold by the cwt.
