Compared to last week, a heavier supply of better quality cattle were
on offer. Slaughter steers sold mostly 2.00-3.00 higher. High dressing
Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic market and most are
extremely lean. These steers sold mostly steady on a very light test.
Slaughter Holstein steers sold mostly 3.00-4.00 higher. Slaughter heifers
sold 1.00-2.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good. Slaughter cows sold
3.00-4.00 higher. Demand was moderate. Slaughter bulls sold firm on a light
test. Cattle supplies included 322 steers; 80 heifers; 389 cows; 22 bulls;
and 5 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

127.00; 1650-1750 lbs 119.50-123.00. Choice 2-3 1200-1650 lbs 118.00-

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold 10.00-30.00 higher. Holstein heifer calves sold mostly
10.00-20.00 higher compared to a very light test last week. Demand was
moderate. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 400
head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 98-118 lbs 210.00-235.00.
Number 2 80-128 lbs 187.00-227.00. Number 3 72-130 lbs 147.00-190.00.
Utility 60-110 lbs 145.00-170.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 90-105 lbs 260.00-320.00. Number 2
