Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold steady to 1.00 higher.
Demand was good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily
to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold
1.00-2.00 higher on a light test. Slaughter Holstein steers sold 2.00-
3.00 higher compared to a light test last week. Slaughter heifers sold
steady on a very light test. Slaughter cows sold 6.00-8.00 higher.
Demand very good. Slaughter bulls 2.00-3.00 higher on a light test.
Cattle supplies included 274 steers; 85 heifers; 276 cows; 18 bulls;
and 21 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1350-1650 lbs 133.50-
136.00. Choice 2-3 1300-1700 lbs 131.00-133.50. Select 1-2 1250-1700
lbs 127.00-131.50. High Dressing Lean Steers 1350-1700 lbs 130.00-139.50.

bull calves sold mixed. Number 1 bull calves and Number 2 bull calves
weighing over 100 lbs sold 10.00-30.00 lower. Number 2 bull calves
weighing under 100 lbs and Number 3 bull calves sold steady to 10.00 higher.
Holstein heifer calves sold steady to 20.00 lower on a light test compared
to a light test. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded
240 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
