Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher.
Demand was good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily
to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold
3.00-4.00 higher on another very light test. Slaughter Holstein steers
sold 1.00-2.00 higher. Slaughter heifers sold steady on a light test.
Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 lower. Demand moderate. Slaughter bulls
sold mostly steady to 1.00 higher on a light test. Cattle supplies
included 165 steers; 72 heifers; 365 cows; 24 bulls; and 8 feeder
calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1300-1600 lbs 122.00-
126.00. Choice 2-3 1300-1600 lbs 119.00-122.00. Select 1-2 1250-1500

selling 40.00-60.00 lower. Holstein heifer calves sold mostly steady.

Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
