Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold 4.00-5.00 lower. Demand
moderate at lower prices. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold
primarily to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers
sold sharply lower on another very light test. Slaughter Holstein steers
sold 3.00-4.00 lower on moderate demand. Slaughter heifers not tested
last week so no comparison. Slaughter cows sold 3.00-4.00 lower. Demand
moderate. Slaughter bulls sold 2.00-3.00 higher compared to a very light
test last week. Cattle supplies included 561 steers; 177 heifers;
439 cows; 238 bulls; and 33 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold 20.00-30.00 higher. Holstein heifer calves sold sharply
higher on a light test. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR
program graded 437 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 90-130 lbs 100.00-117.00.
Number 2 88-128 lbs 95.00-111.00; 80-86 lbs 90.00. Number 3 90-130 lbs
85.00-101.00; 72-88 lbs 55.00-65.00. Utility 60-110 lbs 35.00-60.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 85-100 lbs 320.00-385.00. Number 2
85-110 lbs 250.00-300.00. Number 3 80-125 lbs 150.00-200.00. Utility/Non-
