   Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold firm. Demand good.
High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic
market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold 1.00-2.00 lower
on a light test. Slaughter Holstein steers sold 2.00-3.00 lower on
modeate demand. Slaughter heifers sold mostly steady on another good
test. Breaking and Boning Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 higher. Lean
slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 lower. Demand moderate. Slaughter bulls
sold 4.00-5.00 higher compared to a very light test last week. Cattle
supplies included 317 steers; 110 heifers; 444 cows; 33 bulls; and
11 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein 
bull calves sold steady to 30.00 lower with most movement in Number 1 and 
2 calves weighing over 90 lbs. Holstein heifer calves sold mostly steady 
on a light test. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 
453 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
