Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold 2.00-3.00 higher on a
very light test. Demand good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers
sold primarily to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean.
Those steers sold 4.00-5.00 higher on a very light test. Slaughter
Holstein steers sold 2.00-3.00 higher on good demand. Slaughter heifers
sold 2.00-3.00 higher on another good test. Breaking and Boning
Slaughter cows sold 4.00-5.00 lower. Lean Slaughter cows sold steady.
Demand moderate. Slaughter bulls sold 4.00-5.00 higher compared to a
very light test last week. Cattle supplies included 126 steers;
96 heifers; 382 cows; 24 bulls; and 14 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mostly steady to 10.00 lower. Holstein heifer calves sold
mostly steady on a light test. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR
program graded 444 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 104-130 lbs 60.00-60.00; 90-102
lbs 68.00-75.00. Number 2 112-128 lbs 55.00-57.00; 80-110 lbs 65.00-70.00.
Number 3 72-130 lbs 55.00-65.00. Utility 60-110 lbs 30.00-46.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 90-110 lbs few 140.00-165.00. Number 2
80-110 lbs 120.00-140.00. Number 3 70-100 lbs 75.00-115.00. Utility/Non-
tubing 50-120 lbs 11.00-80.00.
