Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold steady to 1.00 higher.
Demand good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the
ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold 2.00-3.00
higher compared to a very light test last week. Slaughter Holstein
steers sold 1.00-2.00 lower on moderate demand. Slaughter heifers sold
1.00-2.00 higher on good demand. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady to
2.00 lower. Demand moderate. Not enough Slaughter bulls last week for a
comparison. Cattle supplies included 242 steers; 98 heifers; 375 cows;
37 bulls; and 18 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1400-1550 lbs 111.00-
112.50. Choice 2-3 1150-1650 lbs 104.00-107.50. Select 1-2 1250-1500
lbs 100.00-104.00. High Dressing Lean Steers 1250-1650 lbs 103.00-115.00,
few 117.00-125.00.
Slaughter Holsteins: Choice 2-3 1400-1625 lbs 83.00-88.00. Select 1-2

the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 478 head for Thursday's sale. All calves
are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 80-130 lbs 80.00-87.00. Number 2
106-118 lbs 70.00; 80-104 lbs 75.00-87.00. Number 3 80-130 lbs 67.00-
81.00; 72-78 lbs 40.00. Utility 60-110 lbs 30.00-47.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 105 lbs individual 240.00; 75 lbs
