Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly 3.00-4.00 higher.
Demand good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the
ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold 3.00-4.00
higher on another light test. Slaughter Holstein steers sold 2.00-3.00
higher on good demand. Not enough Slaughter heifers for a market test.
Slaughter cows sold 1.00-3.00 higher. Demand good. Slaughter bulls sold
2.00-3.00 higher compared to a light test last week. Cattle supplies
included 216 steers; 97 heifers; 457 cows; 37 bulls; and 17 feeder
calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1450-1650 lbs 116.50-
122.50, few 124.00. Choice 2-3 1300-1700 lbs 111.00-115.50. Select 1-2
1175-1600 lbs 103.00-111.00. High Dressing Lean Steers 1200-1700 lbs
111.00-122.50, individual 125.00.
Slaughter Holsteins: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1550-1600 lbs few
86.00-93.00. Choice 2-3 1450-1600 lbs 82.00-84.00; Select 1-2 1450-
1675 lbs 73.00-81.00.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mostly steady to 15.00 higher with some weakness noted in
Number 3 calves weighing under 90 lbs and Utility calves. Holstein heifer
calves sold weak on another light test. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-
QSA-LMAR program graded 400 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold
by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 120-130 lbs 90.00; 96-118 lbs
120.00-130.00; 90-94 lbs 112.00. Number 2 112-128 lbs 92.00-102.00; 98-
110 lbs 117.00-128.00; 88-96 lbs 110.00-112.00; 80-86 lbs 60.00. Number 3
80-130 lbs 90.00-100.00, one pen 60.00; 72-78 lbs 25.00. Utility 60-110
lbs 20.00-50.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 2 80-120 lbs 55.00-80.00. Number 3
70-110 lbs 30.00-60.00. Utility/Non-tubing 60-100 lbs 11.00-45.00.
