Demand good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily
to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold
3.00-4.00 higher. Demand good. Not enough Slaughter Holstein steers
last week for a comparison. Slaughter heifers sold 2.00-3.00 higher
compared to a light test last week. Demand moderate. Slaughter cows
sold 1.00-2.00 higher. Demand good. Not enough Slaughter bulls for
a market test. Cattle supplies included 193 steers; 127 heifers;
514 cows; 28 bulls; and 17 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mixed. Number 1 bull calves sold steady to 10.00 higher
with most movement in calves weighing 100-120 lbs. Number 2, 3, and Utility
bull calves sold steady to 20.00 lower with most movement in calves weighing
100-120 lbs and those weighing under 90 lbs. Holstein heifer calves 10.00-
20.00 higher on limited comparable receipts. Ag Market News LLC under the
USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 403 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are
sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 120-130 lbs 105.00; 88-118 lbs
120.00-137.00. Number 2 120-128 lbs 100.00; 94-118 lbs 122.00-130.00; 88-
92 lbs 112.00-115.00; 70-86 lbs 60.00-85.00. Number 3 80-130 lbs 85.00-
110.00, mostly 85.00-97.00; 72-78 lbs 65.00-72.00. Utility 60-110 lbs
25.00-30.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-120 lbs 110.00-150.00. Number 2
80-120 lbs 80.00-110.00. Number 3 80-110 lbs 40.00-90.00. Utility/Non-
