Demand moderate. Quality not as good as previous week. High dressing
Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic market and most
are extremely lean. Those steers sold 2.00-3.00 lower on another light
test. Demand light. Slaughter Holstein steers sold 1.00-2.00 lower.
Slaughter heifers sold 4.00-5.00 lower. Demand light. Slaughter cows
sold 1.00-2.00 lower. Demand good. Slaughter bulls sold 3.00-4.00
lower on a light test. Cattle supplies included 295 steers;
85 heifers; 412 cows; 26 bulls; and 15 feeder calves. All prices per
cwt.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mostly 10.00-30.00 higher with instances of 50.00 higher
in calves weighing under 90 lbs. Holstein heifer calves sold 10.00-20.00
higher. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 343
head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 112-130 lbs 112.00-122.00; 96-
110 lbs 137.00-140.00. Number 2 120-128 lbs 100.00; 80-118 lbs 127.00-
142.00, one pen 88-92 lbs 160.00; 76-78 lbs 80.00. Number 3 90-130 lbs
110.00-125.00; 80-88 lbs 85.00-85.00; 72-78 lbs 30.00. Utility 68-110 lbs

Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-110 lbs few 90.00-120.00. Number 2
