Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly steady to 1.00
higher. Demand good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily
to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold 3.00-
4.00 higher on good demand. Slaughter Holstein steers sold steady to 1.00
higher on another very light test. Not enough Slaughter heifers last week
for a comparison. Higher undertone noted. Slaughter cows sold steady to
1.00 higher. Demand moderate. Not enough Slaughter bulls last week for a
comparison. Cattle supplies included 103 steers; 56 heifers; 340 cows;
16 bulls; and 53 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1300-1625 lbs 110.00-
115.00. Choice 2-3 1250-1650 lbs 105.00-109.00. Select 1-2 1450-1525
lbs few 105.00-107.00. High Dressing Lean Steers 1250-1650 lbs 108.00-

bull calves sold steady to 10.00 higher. Holstein heifer calves sold steady
to 5.00 lower on another light test. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-
LMAR program graded 498 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by
the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 90-118 lbs 40.00-55.00; 80-88 lbs
30.00. Number 2 94-120 lbs 32.00-40.00; 80-92 lbs 25.00-30.00. Number 3
90-130 lbs 30.00-32.00; 60-88 lbs 15.00-20.00. Utility 60-130 lbs 15.00-20.00.
