Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold steady to 1.00 lower.
Demand moderate. Ethnic Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic
market. Today those steers sold 1.00-2.00 lower on light demand.
Slaughter Holstein steers sold mostly steady to firm on a light test.
Slaughter heifers sold 2.00-3.00 lower on another very light test.
Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 higher on good demand. Slaughter bulls
sold mostly steady compared to a light test last week. Cattle supplies
included 123 steers; 104 heifers; 528 cows; 49 bulls; and 41 feeder
calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1200-1550 lbs 112.00-
115.00. Choice 2-3 1225-1600 lbs 105.00-111.00. Select 2-3 1100-1625
lbs 102.00-105.50. Ethnic steers 1300-1850 lbs 107.00-118.00, few
124.00-126.00.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
Bull Calves sold mostly steady to 5.00 lower with the exception of Number
2 and 3 calves weighing 90-110 lbs selling 10.00-30.00 higher. Demand
moderate. Holstein Heifer Calves steady on another light test. Ag Market
News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 359 head for Thursday's
sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 904-130 lbs 75.00-80.00. Number 2
112-128 lbs lbs 70.00-80.00; 94-110 lbs 100.00-122.00; 88-92 lbs 75.00; 80-
86 lbs 30.00. Number 3 100-130 lbs 40.00-40.00; 90-98 lbs 70.00-70.00; 60-
88 lbs 10.00-20.00. Utility 60-130 lbs 10.00-25.00, one pen 40.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1-2 80-120 lbs 20.00-30.00. Number 3
