Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 10/10/2017
 
Receipts:  376    Last Week:  596    Year Ago:  278

   Compared to last week:  Feeders steers and bulls sold 5.00-10.00 higher.  
Feeder heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher.  Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady 
to firm. Value Added denotes cattle that have been weaned for 45-180 days and 
administered two rounds of an IBR vaccine.  Fleshy denotes unweaned, new crop 
calves. 
   Supply included about 257 feeder calves, 70 yearlings, 17 replacement cows, 
28 slaughter cows and 4 slaughter bulls.  Feeder supply about 40 percent English 
bred and English bred crosses, 55 percent exotic breed and exotic crosses, 5 
percent Brahma and Brahma crosses, 0 percent Holsteins or other dairy breeds.  
Feeder supply about 59 percent steers and bulls with 41 percent heifers.
