Feeder Cattle Weighted Average report for 7/18/2013
Receipts: 1410 Last Week: 1025 Year Ago: 1250
Compared to last Thursday at the same market, not enough feeder or stocker
cattle last week for accurate trends. A sharply higher undertone was noted.
Trade active with good demand. Slaughter cows 9.00-10.00 lower due to more
cows showing up. Slaughter bulls steady. Trade moderate to active with light
to moderate demand. Slaughter cows were approximately 55 percent of the
supply; Slaughter bulls 10 percent, and feeder?s 35 percent of the supply.
The feeder supply included 45 percent steers and 55 percent heifers. Near 84
percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
