Feeder Cattle Weighted Average report for 1/16/2014

Receipts:  2770    Last Week:  1500    Year Ago:  2685

   Compared to last Thursday at the same market, stocker and feeder cattle 
6.00-7.00 higher. Trade active with very good demand and good buyer 
attendance. Quality more attractive than last week?s supply as most of the 
offerings were hay wintered. Slaughter cows and bulls steady to 2.00 higher 
due to southern packers. Trade active with good demand. Slaughter cows 32 
percent, Slaughter bulls 10 percent, and feeders 58 percent of the supply. 
The feeder supply included 54 percent steers and 46 percent heifers. Near 64 
percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.

   No trends as this was a Special video/Internet Sale. Trading was active 
with good demand. The feeder supply included 40 percent steers and 60 percent 
heifers. Near 100 percent of the supply weighed over 600 lbs. Prices are FOB 
weighing point with a 1-4 percent shrink or equivalent and with a 5-10 cent 
slide on calves and a 3-6 cent slide on yearlings. All sales FOB the Ranch 
unless otherwise stated.
