Feeder Cattle Weighted Average report for 5/12/2016

Receipts:  1500    Last Week:  1530    Year Ago:  1900

    Compared to the last Thursday at the same market: stocker 
and feeder cattle firm to 8.00 higher, due in part to a higher 
slaughter cattle market this week. Trade active with moderate demand. 
Slaughter cows and bulls steady. Trade active with good demand. 
Slaughter cows 43 percent, Slaughter bulls 10 percent, and feeders 
47 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 82 percent 
steers and 18 percent heifers. Near 57 percent of the run weighed 
over 600 lbs. Replacement cows pretested for age, pregnancy, and bangs.
