Feeder Cattle Weighted Average report for 8/21/2017

Receipts:  1950    Last Week:  1800    Year Ago:  1430

   Compared to last Thursday at the same sale, stocker and feeder cattle firm. 
900-950 lbs. steers 10.00-15.00 higher. Trade very active with very good demand. 
Slaughter cows steady to weak. Slaughter bulls 5.00-6.00 lower as supply 
exceeds demand. Trade active with good demand. Slaughter cows 59 percent, 
slaughter bulls 10 percent, and feeders 31 percent of the supply. The feeder 
supply included 51 percent steers and 49 percent heifers. Near 69 percent of 
the run weighed over 600 lbs. Replacement Cows: Pre-tested for pregnancy, and 
age.
