Feeder Cattle Weighted Average report for 8/23/2018

Receipts:  1290    Last Week:  1250    Year Ago:  1470

   No trends due to market not reported the last 2 weeks. A definite lower 
undertone was noted on slaughter cows and bulls as more numbers are showing 
up. Trade active with good demand. Slaughter cows 67 percent, slaughter bulls 
10 percent, and feeders 23 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 
59 percent steers and 41 percent heifers. Near 64 percent of the run weighed 
over 600 lbs.
