MONTHLY BOXED & DISTRIBUTIVE/LCL VEAL CUTS TRADE
Northeast and North Central Basis  -     FOB Major Production Points

For the month of January:  Special fed veal cut prices were mostly steady
to lower with shanks and trimmings steady to firm. Veal Retail features saw a
38.1 percent decrease from the last retail report.  In the veal complex,
Shoulder Blade Chops, Loin Chops, and Leg Cutlets were the three most widely
advertised items as the price trend was mostly steady.
