Weighted Average Auction report for Canton, Mount Airy, North Wilkesboro, Norwood, 
Siler City, Smithfield and Turnersburg for the Week Ending Thursday Jul 10, 2014

Cattle Receipts:  5585          Last week:  No Sales             Last Year:  3617

Compared to two weeks ago, feeder cattle were mostly steady to 5.00 higher. Slaughter 
bulls were mostly steady and cows were mostly 2.00 lower. Demand was good. Offerings were 
heavy. Quality was average. Slaughter cows made up 20 percent of the offering, slaughter 
bulls 3 percent, replacement cows 1 percent, other cows 2 percent, and feeders 74 percent. 
The feeder supply included 31 percent steers, 44 percent heifers, and 24 percent bulls. 
Near 13 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
