Weighted Average Auction Report of Siler City, Canton, Turnersburg, Shelby, North 
Wilkesboro, Norwood, Smithfield for the Week Ending Thursday Jun 22, 2017

Cattle Receipts:  4369    Last Week:  4006     Last Year:  3998

Compared to last week, slaughter cows were 1.00 to 6.00 higher, bulls steady to 
8.00 higher. Feeder steers were steady to 9.00 lower, heifers 3.00 to 
8.00 lower and bulls steady to 9.00 lower. Demand and market activity were mixed. 
Offerings were moderate and the quality ranged from plain to average.

Slaughter cows made up 16 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 3 percent, 
replacement cows 3 percent, other cows 0 percent, and feeders 78 percent.  The 
feeder supply included 31 percent steers, 41 percent heifers, and 29 percent 
bulls. Near 19 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
