Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to
5.00 lower. Slaughter ewes were steady to 1.00 higher. Feeder lambs
were steady to 9.00 higher. At San Angelo, TX 5450 head sold in a one
day sale. Equity Electronic Auction sold 282 slaughter lambs in Nebraska.
In direct trading slaughter ewes were not tested and no comparison on
feeder lambs. 6400 head of negotiated sales of slaughter lambs were
3.00-4.00 higher and 13,000 head of formula sales of dressed lambs under
65 lbs. were not well tested; over 65 lbs were stead. 7,004 lamb
carcasses sold with 45 lbs and down 11.68 higher; 45-55 lbs 19.25 lower;
55-85 lbs .18-1.35 lower and 85 lbs and up 1.31 higher. All sheep sold
per hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise specified.
