Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were 20.00-60.00
lower. Slaughter ewes were weak to 20.00 lower. Feeder lambs were 5.00-
40.00 lower. At San Angelo, TX 4938 head sold in a one day sale. No
sales in Equity Electronic Auction. In direct trading slaughter ewes and
feeder lambs were not tested. 7600 head of negotiated sales of slaughter
lambs under 170 lbs were 1.00-2.00 lower, over 170 lbs were steady to 1.00
higher and 12,100 head of formula sales of dressed lambs under 55 lbs were
not well tested; 55-65 lbs were 10.00-12.00 higher; 65-75 lbs were 4.00-
5.00 lower; 75-85 lbs were steady to 2.00 higher; over 85 lbs were 3.00-
4.00 higher. 5,767 lamb carcasses sold with 65 lbs and down higher and
65 lbs and up steady. All sheep sold per hundred weight (CWT) unless
otherwise specified.
