National Sheep Summary for Week Ending Friday, July 12, 2013

   Weekly Trends:  Compared to last week slaughter lambs were 10.00-20.00
higher at New Holland, PA.  Slaughter ewes were 10.00-20.00 higher at New
Holland.  Feeder lambs were steady to weak.  At San Angelo, TX 8288 head
sold in a one day sale.   Equity Electronic Auction sold 340 slaughter
lambs in North Dakota.  In direct trading no comparison on slaughter ewes
and feeder lambs were steady.  5100 head of negotiated sales of slaughter
lambs were 4.00-5.00 lower and 12,100 head of formula sales of dressed
lambs under 55 lbs were not well tested; 55-65 lbs were 1.00-2.00 higher;
65-75 lbs were 6.00-7.00 higher; 75-85 lbs were steady to 1.00 lower;
over 85 lbs were 2.00-3.00 lower.  6,269 lamb carcasses sold with 45 lbs
and down 17.48 higher; 45-65 lbs 6.13-7.89 lower and 65 lbs and up .04-
1.51 higher.  All sheep sold per hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise
specified.
