Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to
5.00 higher, except at New Holland, PA 10.00-20.00 lower. Slaughter ewes
were steady to 10.00 higher, except 10.00-20.00 lower at New Holland.
Feeder lambs were steady to 4.00 higher. At San Angelo, TX 3609 head
sold in a one day sale. No sales in Equity Electronic Auction. In
direct trading slaughter ewes were not tested and feeder lambs were
steady. 5300 head of negotiated sales of slaughter lambs were steady to
1.00 lower and 12,500 head of formula sales of dressed lambs under 65 lbs
were not well tested with a sharply higher undertone noted; 65-75 lbs
were 1.00-2.00 lower; 75-85 lbs were 5.00-6.00 lower; over 85 lbs were
steady to 1.00 lower. 6,575 lamb carcasses sold with 55 lbs and down
6.10-15.86 lower; 55-75 lbs .88-1.14 lower; 75-85 lbs 1.05 higher and 85
lbs and up 1.42 lower. All sheep sold per hundred weight (CWT) unless
otherwise specified.
