Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to
as much as 20.00 higher. Slaughter ewes were mostly steady to 7.00
higher. Feeder lambs were steady to 5.00 higher. At San Angelo, TX
5040 head sold in a one day sale. Equity Electronic Auction sold 340
slaughter lambs in North Dakota. In direct trading slaughter ewes were
not tested and feeder lambs were steady to 5.00 higher. 4500 head of
negotiated sales of slaughter lambs were 2.00 lower and 13,900 head of
formula sales of dressed lambs under 55 lbs were not well tested; 55-65
lbs were 7.00-8.00 higher; 65-75 lbs were 1.00-2.00 lower; 75-85 lbs were
6.00-8.00 higher; 85-95 lbs were not well tested; over 95 lbs were 4.00-
5.00 lower. 5,317 lamb carcasses sold with 45 lbs and down 18.52 higher;
45-85 lbs 1.12-4.49 lower and 85 lbs and up 4.51 higher. All sheep sold
per hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise specified.
